Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray or grease and flour two (2) round pans: 8" x 1 1/2" or 9" x 1 1/2".
Beat all ingredients except cookies in a large bowl on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping bowl occasionally.
Coarsely chop or break up cookies. Stir by hand into the batter.
Divide and pour batter into pans.
Bake 30 (9") to 35 (8") minutes or until tooth pick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes.
Run a knife around the edge.
Remove from pans. Cool completely.
For cupcakes (24 count): Bake for 18 minutes.

To assemble cake: (1) Place one (1) cake layer on a serving plate, (2) spread with half of the whipped cream, (3) repeat with remaining layer and whipped cream, (4) garnish with cookie halves and cookie crumbs..
